This article is from the old blog in 2020:
Trevor and Charlotte decided to repatriate to South Africa as our time in Ivory Coast came to an end. As the restrictions during lockdown were lifted and the freedom to move around increased, we took the opportunity to explore our country.
The first trip we took was to see the Cape spring flowers. We decided not to go as far North as Namakwaland, which is the famous region for the spring flowers. The flowers can be seen from Cape Town all the way to Springbok, which is at the northern border of Namakwaland. We decided to go as far as Clan William and was rewarded with spectacular flowers. The excellent winter rains this year guaranteed beautiful flowers, the best in eight years. It is suggested that you start in the North and drive southwards to enjoy the flowers at it’s best, as the flowers follow the sun.

When Corona is over and world travel back on the map, come and enjoy these spectacular flowers during August and September. There are flowers all along the way.
