About me

Hey there! I’m Ulrich.

I currently live in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. I am passionate about cars, travel and overlanding and have a real love for adventure and Africa.

I have lived in many places in Europe and Africa. Many road trips brought me to almost all countries in Europe and Middle East, to all states of the entire East coast of the United States and Canada as well as all corners of Northern, Eastern and Southern Africa.
While living in Tunisia I enjoyed very much exploring the country and discovering its beauty! Since the early 2000s my parents have been living in Morocco where I had the chance to travel extensively in this magnificent country. After having moved to Côte d’Ivoire I started exploring the West African countries. In early 2018, an overland trip led me to visit Ghana, Togo and Benin. Exploring new corners of Côte d’Ivoire is exciting. These travels have already brought me to the explore the Comoe National Park in the north-east, a hike up the stunning Mount Nima in the south-west, various forests as well as of course the major sights the country has to offer.

A born traveller, I have visited over 50 countries so far, I am excited to be able to see more of West Africa, in particular, the unspoiled nature of Guinea, the beautiful coast of Senegal, the historical and magical desert of Mauritania and much more of the beloved diverse Morocco!

For this expedition and the previous expedition, I have researched the formalities and logistics and also planned the route. I have also been preparing all of the technical aspects of my vehicle.
