Hey there! I am Ulrich!

Welcome to my travel blog, where I will share with you the latest stories and photos of me and my travel companions about our epic adventure driving from Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire to Marrakech, Morocco and back to Abidjan in the matter of nine weeks during the months October and November 2023.

Fortunately I will not be travelling alone. I will have the pleasure to have some good friends by my side to experience this expedition together and share the tales.

The planned departure to leave Abidjan is at the beginning of October 2023. The first leg will be driving straight northbound to Marrakech in about two weeks time. I will then spend two weeks in Marrakech with family and friends before meeting other friends for the return trip of this expedition. More details on the route you can find here.

This blog is a work in progress. In the weeks before setting off on the expedition I will try to document the preparation work. Once on the road, I shall attempt to write a blog every day or as often as I can depending on time and network access.
